In a new play, MISTER HALSTON, by Raffaele Pacitti and directed by Michael Wilson, the life of this legendary American fashion designer is put on full display for the audience to appreciate his true genius and talents
The one-person stage show is set against the glamorous and volatile 1970’s and 80’s in New York, with Mister Halston offering the audience an unguarded look at the man behind the myth, tracing the meteoric rise, stunning fame, and ultimate fall of this iconic fashion and cultural figure.
The show concludes June 21st in Sag Harbor - as this is a must for those who just love this stuff!

New show on Long Island celebrates the life of openly gay fashion icon Halston. When you think of Halston, you probably picture his beautiful minimalist fashions, or maybe the Studio 54 of his 1970's heyday, but as CBS News New York's Dave Carlin reports, there's a lot more to tell.
Designer and philanthropist Donna Karan will serve as executive producer for Bay Street Theater's upcoming production of Mister Halston, which will run June 2–21 at the Sag Harbor, New York, venue. Karan joins Tony-winning producer Bruce Robert Harris in bringing Raffaele Pacitti's play to Bay Street. Michael Wilson will direct the world premiere.
In an engaging conversation, Carl Leibowitz spoke with Bruce Robert Harris, a two-time Award-winning producer, about his journey from being a dancer to a successful producer on Broadway. They discussed the evolution of LGBTQ representation in theater, the financial challenges of producing shows, and the importance of engaging younger audiences. Harris shares insights on the changing landscape of Broadway, the role of stars in attracting audiences, and the cultural differences in audience reception across various regions. The conversation concludes with a look at future projects and the significance of supporting live theater.
